About

Dr. Eva Thomann

"Welcome to my personal website. I am a Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom who specializes in Public Policy and Public Administration.

Much of my research focuses on the implementation of public policies both in multi-level systems and at the frontline. Research interests include Europeanization, street-level bureaucracy, multilevel governance, private and hybrid governance, behavioral aspects of policy/regulatory design and its effects. I  am an active user and teacher of case-oriented and set-theoretic research methods, including Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA). Empirically, I am particularly interested in public health policy, food safety policy, immigrant and welfare policy.

I completed my Ph.D in Public Administration, titled "Public health policy at the frontline: a comparative perspective", in February 2015 (summa cum laude). I co-chair the Permanent Study Group XIII on Public Policy of the European Group for Public Administration (EGPA)."
