Dr. Eva Thomann

"Welcome to my personal website. I am a Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom who specializes in Public Policy and Public Administration.

Much of my research focuses on the implementation of public policies both in multilevel governance and at the frontline. Research interests include Europeanization and European integration, street-level bureaucracy, multilevel governance and problems-solving, private and hybrid governance, behavioral aspects of policy/regulatory design and its effects. I  am an active user and teacher of case-oriented and set-theoretic research methods, including Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA). Empirically, I am particularly interested in public health policy, food safety policy, immigrant and welfare policy. I completed my Ph.D in Public Administration, titled "Public health policy at the frontline: a comparative perspective", in 2015.

I serve on several boards in international networks including the European Group for Public Administration (EGPA), COMPArative Methods for Systematic cross-caSe analysis (COMPASSS), and the International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM). I teach at various international summer and method schools."
